Moreover, descriptions about Zhongyong are found in his writings, such as in essays or letters addressed to acquaintances, in addition to the annotations. It is also possible to understand the Zhongyong interpretation of Kinjo through these materials and the surroundings in which they originated. In this thesis, I first summarize 'Ota Kinjo's Zhongyong' and related materials in annotated books, as well as materials which contain descriptions about what was inscribed in the Zhongyong. I analyzed the words and phrases in the 'Zhongyong' 中庸' which are relevant to all the materials considered. According to Kinjo's Zhongyong and related materials, it appears that the meaning of the interpretation of Kinjo's 'Zhongyong' came from the first Zhongyong annotated book Chuyosetsu[中庸説]. It was followed by his Zhongyong related materials. Thus, it may be said that the general ideas about 'Zhongyong' were already formed at an early stage. However, the 'zongyong' interpretations in the different materials develop and take shape slowly. KinjO invents a new interpretation that 'zongyong'='cheng 誠' opinion later. I have traced the formation process mainly by interpreting the words and phrases found in the 'zongyong' of Zhongyong related materials, which was rearranged and developed a mutual link. In addition, I learned that the method for studying Kinjo in the Zhongyong was a method of positively interpreting a reading of the classics, concentrating extensively on words and phrases, and enumerating the quotations.}, pages = {217--238}, title = {大田錦城『中庸』関係資料について}, volume = {2}, year = {2007}, yomi = {シミズ, ノブコ and Shimizu, Nobuko} }
